Tutor Time, Sixth Form PE and Personal Development Lessons
The step up to Sixth Form is one of the most challenging leaps in any young person’s educational journey, but we’re going to show you how to do it!
During the Autumn term, on a Wednesday afternoon, you will take part in our Transition Programme. Topics will include: managing your time, note-taking techniques and how to study independently to support your next steps after Sixth Form whether this is university, apprenticeships or employment.
In your form sessions the study of topical issues such as diversity in Britain; healthy relationships and sexual health; wellbeing; first aid; road safety; managing finances and getting prepared for apprenticeships, employment and higher education will be covered. These sessions, plus the varied opportunities put on in Sixth Form PE, will develop your confidence, character and resilience, as well as your team work, communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
We will link you with highly enriching opportunities for The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, National Citizen Service and World Challenge.
