The school aims to provide a high quality learning environment and we are committed to maximising the abilities of each student. Excellence, respect and trust are fundamental values expected from all involved with this process. Our aim is to enable all to become responsible, fulfilled adults, who have the skills and confidence to be able to shape the future.
We seek the cooperation of all involved with Croxley Danes to ensure the best quality education for our students. Form Tutors are the initial point of contact between home and school.
All members of the school have the right to be respected and accepted
Bullying, racial harassment and sexual harassment will never be tolerated
Acts of violence toward other members of the school community will not be tolerated
Student behaviour in class should always respect the group’s right to learn
Students should maximise their own potential to learn
In the Sixth Form, students are expected to complete five hours of study per subject per week in addition to lesson time. This includes:
Homework
Consolidating notes
Independent research
Revision
Wider reading
Past papers
Students must be punctual and attend school regularly
Proper procedures should be followed for any absence (see Sixth Form attendance page)
The Sixth Form Dress Code should be worn correctly and with pride and must be followed at all times (see Sixth Form Dress Code page)
Croxley Danes School seeks to be a litter free zone; chewing gum is not allowed
All movement around the school should reflect a responsibility for the safety of others
Students are responsible for the safe keeping of any possessions they bring to school
All members of the community are to respect the property of the school and of others
Financial transactions between students should not occur
Students should not have on their possession objects that could be a danger or cause harm to others
Prohibited items will be confiscated
Unauthorised use or possession of drugs and/or alcohol is not tolerated by the school community (this includes legal highs’ and vapes)
There are serious consequences for any student who disregards the Drug, Alcohol and Substance Misuse policy
